A smokebox numberplate, 84014, from a BR Standard Class 2 2-6-2T built at Crewe and allocated new to Low Moor in September 1953. Its later sheds were Bank Hall, Southport, Lees, Bolton and Stockport. In November 1965 it was sent with several others of the Class to Eastleigh with the intention of replacing the existing motive power on the Isle of Wight. The scheme was, however, quickly abandoned and this loco was returned to Stockport for immediate withdrawal and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Newport. Ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
