An early 20th century Chinese opera doll with detachable painted composition head with elaborate gilt and bead decorated hair, wearing a red robe with embroidered dragon design to the front and sleeves, a lotus flower to the back, blue lining, over pink floral cotton trousers and lilac and pink slippers, with composition lower legs and carved wooden hands, 11in. (27.9cm.) high. *Paint loss and chip to neck. Gilt wear and minor losses to front edge of hair. Robe good overall, with minor stains and slight fading to green border.
