A scarce Imperial German officer's pickelhaube of the Saxon 100th Grenadier Regiment, the patent leather skull having silver plated white metal mounts, including star plate with gilt centre (gilt worn), spike with perlring and circular base with star bolt heads, and leather backed chinscales; with officer's pattern national and state rosettes, green silk lining with leather sweat band, inside of the skull with maker's embossed paper label bearing the device of "AWS" and "AWES MARKE"; with its field grey linen cover. Good Condition (some wear to plating, patent leather bubbled on the front and rear peaks. Plate 21
