Russia 1909 - An Imperial Decree ('Ukaz') directed via the Consistory of the Kurland Evangelical-Lutheran Church to a clergyman in Sawnari. Sent 6/6/1909 Mitava and has an official ecclesiastical seal. The document itself is entirely in German, the language used by the Church in Kurland. The order itself concerns a trivial matter, the correction of a name in the baptismal registers at Swanari.
