An oil on canvas, in gilt frame, by Francisco de Rosa (known as Pacecco), believed to be of St Catherine of Alexandria, dating to the early 17th century. The rear of the canvas is marked 'depinta Pacecco di Rosa' in handwritten script. The painting comes from the collection of a noble Italian family now resident in the UK and has reputedly been in the family's possession for several hundred years. The painting is unrestored and previously untouched.
