EARLY BOXED "MALDIRIGE" MARK ON INDIA COVER TO SEYCHELLES; 28 Sept. 1896 usage of the 2a 6pi yellow P. Stat. env. from "CALCUTTA" (c.d.s. cancel) to "Port Victoria. Mahe, Seychelles" (rare destination) but having a very fine boxed 2nd-Type "MALDIRIGE" mark (struck in the Sea PO) nicely placed on the front as well as a mainly fine "SEYCHELLES" arrival c.d.s. (2 Nov.); there are two "SEA POST OFFICE" backstamps an one of "ADEN". Exhibition Quality.
