A SET OF VICTORIAN CO-OPERATIVE WHOLESALE SOCIETY CREAMWARE SCALES, A CWS MEDAL, OTHER SCALES AND WEIGHTS, the scales with gilt details, Co-operative Wholesale Society emblem of a wheatsheaf, and panels reading 'Co-operative Wholesale Society Ltd' 'Makers, Balloon St, Manchester', the ceramic base surmounted by a brass handle, weighing mechanism and two brass pans, base width 44cm x depth 18cm, together with a Co-operative Wholesale Society Jubilee 1863-1913 medal in a leather pouch, a set of painted cast iron scales with a non-original enamel pan, and nineteen weights ranging from 1/4oz to 2lb (2 scales + 3 pans + medal + pouch + 19 weights) (Condition Report: the base of the CWS scales has crazing, restoration verso and a large chip to the underside, all items having wear, rust and tarnish commensurate with age)
