Approximately 440 British Royal Naval ships, with submarines, in three modern albums - two pockets to a page but with some pockets holding more than two cards. The main album has around 190 cards, with many pre-World War One ships, real photographic and printed. The cards include a number of ship launches, mainly from Portsmouth Dockyard, particularly HMS Bellerophon, HMS St Vincent and HMS Neptune, with some of the cards by Southsea photographer Stephen Cribb, including the two nice examples photographed. A number of cards feature ships in floating docks. The work of a number of other publishers is also featured. There are a few later cards in this album. Most of the cards are in good, collectable condition but not surprisingly a few have corner creases and other minor faults.
A second album contains 113 cards, including a high number of Wright and Logan postcard size photos and Gale and Polden plain-backed and postcards with the ship crest. In a top corner - such as the page photographed. There are also coloured cards from the Falklands Task Force Sovereign Series, the Pamlin-style Collector Series and the black and white Falklands Collection published for the King George's Fund for Sailors in 1983.
The third album has approximately 140 cards, mostly warships - but around 50 submarines, 31 of which are vintage postcards with approximately 20 later cards, including Wright and Logan postcard-size photographs, Gale and Polden crested cards and a few moderns. This album has a few navy-related topographical Portsmouth Harbour area cards, such as two of Portsmouth Navy Week. The cards in this album are generally in good or better condition.
