A Japanese cloisonné vase - Meiji period (1869-1912), of shouldered baluster form, decorated with a pheasant perched in the branches of a blossoming apple tree, the trunk with a climbing vine with pink flowers, the base with a shallow band of lappets and the rim a band of stylised flowers, all on a dark blue ground, 24cm high, with later carved hardwood stand.
