1959 Gibson ES-175D electric guitar, made in USA; Body: natural finish, lacquer checking to edges, light checking to front and back, a few light lacquer blemishes to centre back, further minor dings but generally very good for age; Neck: mahogany, lacquer checking and other minor imperfections; Fretboard: rosewood, light wear; Frets: generally good, mild wear and tarnishing; Electrics: working, original PAF pickups (covers previously removed); Hardware: good; Case: original hard case with additional semi-rigid croc case; Weight: 3.07kg; Overall condition: very good

** A very good example of a 1959 Gibson ES175D, a rare instrument with only one hundred and twenty-nine blonde ES175s shipped in that year. The guitar is sold with its original hard case and additional semi-rigid croc type case and a selection of Gibson hang tags/papers

The guitar was purchased by the vendor from a seller based in Sunderland who originally purchased the guitar from renowned session player Vo Fletcher of Malvern

Sold with the guitar are two documents, one inspection document by Trevor Newman of Peter Cook's Guitar World dated 10th July 2006, the other an insurance valuation to the sum of £15000 from Vintage & Rare Guitars, London, dated 18th October 2012
