'Portrait of Frank Brangwyn holding his painter's ladder', (a portion of one of his murals seen in the background), Photograph, Inscribed "Just before the operation 1914" in pencil verso, unframed, 3.75" x 4.5" (9.5 x 11.4cm) and another, 'Portrait of Sir Frank Brangwyn posing in costume as Christ for a planned mural painting', Inscribed in pencil verso: "This is taken by Steward. Do you prefer that our Lord should be looking down on his Disciples or looking up like the sketch. Please return this as it is useful", (this photograph shows Sir Frank Brangwyn's home, the Jointure at Ditchling, in the background), unframed, 5.85" x 4.6" (15.1 x 12cm) Provenance: The collection of Edgar Peacock, son of Elizabeth Peacock who had been Brangwyn's housekeeper at The Jointure in Ditchling from 1904. Both she and her son, Edgar Peacock, were beneficiaries of Brangwyn's estate.
