After Jules Moigniez, a gilt brass velvet lined jewellery box, oval form, decorated in relief with a hunting scene, the finial of the lid a Woodcock on a branch (a/f), raised on four feet, the lid inscribed J.Moigniez (18cm x 10cm); together with two spelter figurines of a woman with sickle and sheaf of corn and man (a/f) mounted on ebonised wooden socles (H 28cm) and a German medallion being a cynical celebration on the sinking of the British passenger liner Lusitania in May1915, with the loss of over 1,000 passengers.
