3rd Reich Erbhof (Hereditary Farm) Iron Plaque Depicting SS Runes. These were mounted to farm gates showing that the farm was of Aryan heritage and had a family member serving in the Waffen SS. This conformed to the Reichserbhofgesetz law, a Nazi law that implemented the principles of blood and soil, stating that its aim was to 'preserve the farming community as the blood-source of the German people'.
