A tenderplate, GWR 558 SWINDON, an unusual style of plate not seen before, probably fitted to the tender coupled with a Western Region allocated WD Austerity 2-8-0 although these usually carried plates headed BR(W) and marked 5000 Gallons. Cast iron, 8¼"x6", repainted. (Postage Band: C)
