SALVE REGINA, ILLUMINATED MUSIC SHEET ON VELLUM, COPPER FRAME
This melody is sung by the Cistercian monks, The MS was illuminated by Dame Margaret Mary Pound OSB Prioress of East Bergholt Abbey, Suffolk, in the diocese of North-mpton. It was executed in February 1946 and is based on designs found in the Irish 8th cent Book of Kells but with Our Lady of Walsingham in the initial ‘S’.
