A fossilised Ammonite, Pararcoroniceras Lyra, of large proportions, 33.5cm H x 30cm W, set to a marble base, 37cm wide, bearing a label believed to be from Natural Wonders Of Whitby
The fossil shows wear to the surface finish, but no obvious chips or cracks. The marble base is probably a later addition. The label appears to be held in place with Blu-tack.
