A 18th century 8-day striking longcase clock by Robert Henderson of Scarborough, the engraved brass dial with subsidiary second dial and date aperture, silvered chapter with Roman numerals and ornate gilt brass spandrels. The 19th century oak case features ornate relief carving in the Black Forest taste, on a stepped plinth base with bracket feet. Includes both weights and pendulum. Dial measures 11”. Total height 7’8” (234cm).
Condition report: Glass is cracked. Heat expansion crack to base.
