Includes 1849 20c on several letters, 1854 EL with "Paimboeuf Bateau a Vapeur" ship cds, 1859 cover to Shetland Is, 1868 entire letter from Smyrna (Turkey), two 1870 (17 & 19 Oct) 'Ballon Monte' entire letters, four letters with Postage Due 10c (x3) & 15c stamps, foreign destinations incl Argentina, Peru, Chile & Egypt, incoming letters incl 1855 two from Mauritius with "Packet Letter Mauritius" handstamps, several stampless letters with rate marks, wide ranges of transit and incoming marks, multiple frankings etc. (270+ covers) Lot 721 (B) [a]
