Two late 19th to early 20th Century fauteuil chairs in the French style, with gilt and gesso detail to the exposed frames, some damage and repairs to each of the chairs. (2)

There are nailed and glued repairs to the joints of each of the chairs. Repair to a split to the front leg of each of the chairs. There is some loss to the gesso moulding to the frames. The frames have been re-gilded and re-upholstered. There are tack holes around the edges of the frames where previous upholstery / braiding was tacked.
