An antique French kingwood Louis XV style serpentine fronted dressing table, with raised mirrored back bearing Rococo style candelabra, brass ormolu mounts, inlaid marquetry decoration, single drawer and cabriole legs with X-shaped stretcher bearing an ornamental brass urn. The lock to drawer inscribed Pretot & Cie. Width 115cm, height 165cm, depth 57cm.
In our opinion this is a mid-19th century piece, which is further supported by the lock marked Pretot. Several areas of missing veneer. Top surface is slightly faded, and has a small area of water damage. The brass beneath the top but above the drawer is missing a few pins and is therefore loose in places. No key.
Several worm holes visible to reverse and centre of stretcher, but no extensive damage. Height to table 81.5cm
