A large 18th century Continental marquetry bureau bookcase, having a broken and scrolled pediment above two ‘secret’ compartments and nine divided display shelves with three short drawers below, the base with fall-front housing a fitted interior above a serpentine-fronted chest of three long graduated drawers, on cabriole supports.

Condition report: Heat expansion cracks to both sides. Various veneer losses (some pieces are included). Original keys present. Retaining the original glass.
