A Vic 1892/95 infantry officer’s sword, straight fullered blade 32½”, by Wilkinson no 31395 (for 1892) on backstrap, etched in scrolled panels on one side with flat topped crowned VR cypher and wreath, and on the other crowned R Arms (without supporters) and wreath, and near forte officer’s name “A.J.F. Eden” on one side and “18th June 1892” on the other, plated 1895 pattern hilt with plain inner edge, incorporating crowned VR cypher, wirebound fishskin grip, in its leather FS scabbard with plated locket and chape; with photostat details of Colonel Eden, CMG, DSO, 2nd Lieut 1892, served in Boer War, WWI etc, c/o 145th Inf Brigade 1920.
