A FIRST WORLD WAR TRIO TO THE WELSH REGIMENT. A Great War Trio comprising 1914-15 Star named to 21633 Pte D.W. Thomas Welsh R. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. David William Thomas served with the 10th (Service) Battalion (1st Rhonda) and 15th (Service) Battalion (Carmarthenshire) Battalion of the Welsh Regiment. He is recorded as receiving a gun shot wound to his shoulder on the 10th July 1916 he was further wounded on the 25th June 1918 and on the 31st August 1918 and possibly again on the 14th October 1918. Being entitled to wound stripes for each injury. *CR Normal light surface marks. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
