A longcase clock, the 31 cm arched square brass dial signed Maple, London, Made in England, to a plaque, the silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, the arch with Chime/Silent and Westminster/Whittington/St Michaels subsidiary dials to the arch, the dial engraved all over with scrolling in campus leaves, fitted an eight day three train movement, striking on nine tubes, in a walnut and burr walnut case, 230 cm high, with three brass cased weights, a hood door key, a trunk door key, and two winding keys

Lacks second hand dial to the centre, has not run for many years, from a large farmhouse, he hood is generally good but is quite tight to take on and off, and there has been some shrinking to the moldings on the top right-hand section, the main carcass has had some shrinkage and molding underneath the hood door, and there is a small split above and to the left of the trunk door, otherwise generally good for its age
