Sam Walsh (B. 1934 - 1989 London) was progressively included in key shows of Liverpool painters, as well as having his own exhibitions. He was in the Liverpool Academy's touring show 'The Face of Merseyside' in 1976. In 1983 Walsh was in the 1st Merseyside Artists Exhibition which toured from Walker Art Gallery, in 1987 he painted his portrait of Samuel Beckett, which is on permanent display at Victoria Museum & Gallery in Liverpool. His most well known painting is Mike's Brother 1964 a portrait of The Beatles' Paul McCartney, which is on permanent display at the National Portrait Gallery, London, England.
