John Henry Augustus Selwyn (1712-1751) was the son of Colonel John Selwyn (1688-1751) and May Selwyn, nee Farrington (1690-1777). He was christened at St James' Church, Piccadilly and buried in the churchyard of St Katherine's Church, Matson, Gloucester. The family seat, Matson House, was the temporary headquarters of Charles I during the Siege of Gloucester 1643

In excellent preservation, albeit dusty / dirty, tiny split in upper border and one or two pin holes visible when held up to the light, no repair or restoration
