Iraq. 1928 (Aug 30) "Princes Xenia" Karachi to London return flight piloted by Capt. C.D Barnard and F/O E.H Alliott, 1½ on 1a postcard flown from Karachi to Maqil in Iraq bearing a blue Air Mail label, Karachi c.d.s and "Unpaid" datestamp with a Maqil arrival c.d.s (Sep 7), signed by the two pilots with typed "Princess Xenia" inscription. The "Princess Xenia" took six weeks to reach India but just 4½ days for the return flight, then a record for the flight from India to G.B. A couple of corner creases but otherwise fine and very rare. Only a very few items hand carried by the two pilots recorded from this flight, this destination probably unique. Also a small Photo of the aeroplane. Photo on Page 168.
