A selection of blue agate jewellery comprised of a large oval brooch, 6cm wide, a smaller brooch, a string of graduated cylindrical blue agate beads, a pair of stud earrings and two rings.
We are pleased to be offering this lot from the stock of family run firm Shipton and Co., who were based in Hastings White Rock area, and who were unfortunately forced to close their doors in 2014 after a section of the rock face above collapsed onto their shop, making the building unsafe. Found the world over agate is a stone that has been used for jewellery and decorative purposes since ancient times. The colour blue is thought to encourage feelings of calmness and tranquility
