A nameplate SUN STREAM from a Thompson Class A2/3 4-6-2 No 515 (BR 60515) built at Doncaster, Works No 2006, in October 1946 and named after the filly, owned by Lord Derby, which won the 1945 Oaks and 1000 Guineas. Always a North Eastern Area engine, it was allocated new to Heaton, moving to Gateshead in July 1952 and later the same year to York where it spent the remainder of its working life. Withdrawn in November 1962, it was cut up at Doncaster Works. Cast brass, length 57½", the back in original condition.
