1871 General Post Office circular maps, for England and Wales, and for Scotland, the two maps in separate boxes both labelled as the property of The Postmaster General. Superb detailed maps laid down on cloth, showing railways used by the Post Office and postal routes by mail coaches, mail carts, horse posts and passenger mail cars, stage coaches and omnibuses, foot messengers and steam packets, also post towns, sub-offices and places without post offices where postal routes branch or terminate.
