More Information

Overall of a very dark toffee brown colour that looks like it would benefit from a clean and repolish, upper moulding to the hood looks like an old but later replacement, top of the left barley twist column is missing and there are breaks elsewhere, old crude putty holding in the glass to the hood, chapter ring conceals further floral engraving to the square brass dial and may well be a later replacement, four pillar movement has later escapement, dial oxidised and discoloured, moulding to the top of the trunk door broken with a small section missing, looks to have later foliate carving around the oval glass lenticle, ebonised foot worn and scuffed. Comes with a brass pendulum and two cast iron weights, working key to the trunk door but the latch does not line up withe lock
