A worksplate, BUILT BY BRITISH RAILWAYS, DONCASTER, 1959, POWER EQUIPMENT ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LIMITED, from a BR Class 71 electric locomotive. Those built by BR at Doncaster in 1959 were E5001-13 which became 71001-13. Several were rebuilt as Class 74; the remainder were scrapped by late 1979. Chromed cast brass, 10½"x6", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
