£3,800
Le Verre Francais, Poissons cameo glass vase, designed by Charles Schneider, circa 1925, cylinder form acid etched with a shoal of orange fish swimming amidst green and orange seaweed fronds against a sea green to clear tinted ground with a myriad of air bubbles, cameo signature 'Charder', engraved to the edge of the base 'Le Verre Francais' and etched 'France', height 22cm, 10.5cm diameter
The outer edge of the upper rim is ground, but this is factory done and intentional and does not conceal any chips. There are manufacturing pinprick burst bubbles which exhibit as tiny spots throughout the outer casing, one of these has burst across one of the seaweed fronds. There are tiny surface scratches on some of the lower seaweed, these are minimal. It's greatest issue is it's slight lean as shown in the main image. Another image has been taken to illustrate this. The lean is only a few degrees, we think it looks worse than it actually is but this is obviously subjective.
