A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 69861, REBUILT DARLINGTON, 1935, from a LNER Class A8 4-6-2T No 2154 rebuilt in 1935 from a NER Class H1 4-4-4T. Renumbered 9861 in 1946, it became BR 69861. Its BR sheds were Sunderland, Selby, Whitby and Malton from where it was withdrawn in June 1960 and cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: C)
