French gilt brass and white hardstone Portico mantle clock, movement stamped Rack, France, 37cm
Small chip out the bottom of the hardstone base. The brass under the face has some cracking visible at the back. The back cover is noticeably dented and warped.
It does have a key , but feels overwound and did not go. When the hands were adjusted manually it struck at the half past and the hour correctly, but the hour hand is not aligned.
