A collection of Roman denarius, antoninianus etc. purportedly found at Tintagel Castle between 1948-50. Comprising of billon Tetricus AD 270-273 x 3; Aurelian AD 270-275; Constantine I AD 307-337; Constantinopolis AD 330- x 3; Constantius II AD 337-361 x 2. All identified and in various grades commensurate with being recovered from the ground. As a footnote, it is accepted there was Roman activity on the headland during the late 3rd & early 4th centuries AD which corrolates with these finds.
