A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY 1241 Darlington 1909, from a North Eastern Railway Class D21 4-4-0 No 1241 withdrawn from Starbeck in March 1943. The engine and a spare NE type tender sent to Fishguard via Banbury for air target practice, returning to Darlington in July 1943 and cut up there in July 1944. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. (Collect from Banbury Depot/Posted by Woodford Halse Office)
