A fine copper engraved original antique county map of Nottinghamshire, England. A highly detailed map with decorative title cartouche and scales of great, middle and small miles. An excellent example greatly enhanced with attractive later hand-colouring.
In the centre of the image lies the 'Forest of Sherewood,' (Sherwood Forest) as described in the legend of Robin Hood.
