AN EARLY VICTORIAN YELLOW METAL MOURNING BROOCH, of an oval form, depicting a split pearl and very small diamond chip floral pattern, to the black surround, with scrolling rim, yellow metal reverse engraved 'In Memory of Anne Johnson who died 1st Nov 1855', to the centre is an oval compartment containing a brown lock of hair with gold wire work detail, beneath a glazed cover, fitted with a brooch pin and C clasp, approximate dimensions length 48.9mm x width 43.0mm, approximate gross weight 19.6 grams (condition report: general light wear in keeping with age, would benefit from a gentle clean, hair is loose within setting)
