A Japanese Satsuma bowl by Yabu Meizan (1853-1934), Meiji (1868-1912)/Taisho (1912-1926) period, the circular form bowl rising from a low footring, the interior densely painted with a series of chrysanthemum and scrolling tendrils, the exterior with a series of street sellers, figures and craftsmen, before an ivory crackle glaze heightened with gilt dot decoration, above a stiff lappet rim border, filled with flowers in enamel and gilt, gilt mark to base, height 7cm, diameter 12.5cm.
Appears to be free from chips, cracks or restoration.
Close inspection of the gilt rim, reveals small missing flakes to the gilt.
Scuffing and wear to the footrim.
