Japy Freres of Paris late 19th century gilt metal & enamel 8 day two train mantle clock chiming on the half hour and striking the hour. The Dial in turquoise enamel with parcel gilt and red highlights. Roman numerals to white panels in the chapter ring, with a hand painted classical vignette scene below of a young woman and cupid. The ornate case topped by a trophy finial atop with turquoise & gilt detailing. All raised on a Neo-Classical base with toupie feet. Mechanism bearing the Japy Freres Medaille d'Honeur medallion with serial number 43. Pemdulum with matching number. With key and adjuster. H 37cm, W 24cm, D 12.5cm.
