A worksplate, ENGLISH ELECTRIC/VULCAN FOUNDRY 3077/D627, from a BR Class 40 D331 built in February 1961 and renumbered 40 131 in November 1973. Allocated new to Crewe North, withdrawn from Crewe Diesel depot in October 1983 and cut up by BREL Crewe in October 1984. Chromed cast brass, 10¼"x4½", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
