The Granary Collection - 1920 Enrique Garcia classical guitar, made in Barcelona, Spain; Back and sides: Brazilian rosewood; Top: spruce; Neck: cedar; Fretboard: ebony; Frets: nickel; Tuners: engraved plated tuners with shaped buttons; Nut width: 49mm; Scale length: 645mm; Case: original fitted case
*From The Granary Collection. This guitar features on track six of Granary Guitars’ 'The Sound of Spain' album, played by David Merrin. Listen to The Sound of Spain track here: https://tinyurl.com/1920EnriqueGarcia
This is a rare Garcia being a highly decorated 'Luxury' model and is rather unusual, having its original metal tornavoz still in situ.
David Merrin comments ….”The guitar is very forgiving in nature which is probably due to a lowering of the resonance caused by the tornavoz and ..loses no clarity.”
Condition notes: hairline crack to centre back and further smaller hairlines visible. Repaired cracks to centre table and some refinishing work evident. General surface marks around. Wear to fingerboard and frets evident. The tuners have been replaced with the barrels repositioned. A further set of tuners is included in the case which are probably the originals.
