A worksplate, HUDSWELL CLARKE & Co Ltd, No 1649 of 1931, rebuilt 1947. From a standard gauge 0-6-0ST new to Denby Grange Collieries Ltd, Caphouse and Prince of Wales Collieries, Yorkshire, named ELIZABETH. Around 1943 it was sent to Clifford Edwards Ltd of Hove, Sussex for repairs but these were not completed and in October 1946 it moved to Hudswell Clarke at Leeds for rebuilding. On completion sent in April 1947 to the NCB at Annesley Colliery, Nottinghamshire where it became ANNESLEY No 1. Subsequently worked at other collieries in the area until scrapped on site in March 1967 at Kirkby Colliery. Engraved bras, 13"x8¼", the front cleaned and polished. (Postage Band: B)
