'Southerner' mid 19th century Derringer pocket pistol inscribed with maker's mark: 'Brown Manufacturing Co of New Buryport Mass. PAT.APR 9-1857' to side of barrel and 'Southerner' to top. Steel octagonal cast and rifled rotating barrel (L 6.2cm, 2.5 inches), sheath trigger, wooden grips on brass body, stamped with serial number 5350. Total length 13cm.
We can confirm it does open fine and cocks, there is a little bit of pitting/corrosion inside the barrel.
