A South African Railways cabside numberplate 2438 from a 3t 6ins gauge Class 19C 4-8-2 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 24171, in 1935. Fitted with rotary cam valve gear, the class were used mainly on branch lines. All were withdrawn in 1978. Cast brass, 20¾"x14½", the front cleaned but unpainted.
