The BMW E34 is the third generation of the BMW 5 Series, which was produced from 1987 until 1996. Initially available only as a saloon, an Estate body was available from 1990. The E34 series included the first all wheel drive 5 Series with the 525iX, and the first V8 in a 5 Series. The E34 also saw the introduction of stability control, traction control, 6-speed manual transmission and adjustable damping. There was an unusually large range of engines fitted over its lifetime as nine different engine families were used. These consisted of four cylinder, straight six and V8 engines.
A rare survivor of this iconic BMW E34 Series. The car has had only 1 previous owner, and comes with masses of service stamps in the service book. It was reregistered to a lease company on 5th June 1989 and subsequently to Mr R Smith. Equipped with electric sunroof, windows and mirrors, it also has a period aftermarket stereo. Recent new battery fitted, MoT until December 2020. The vendor says that this car is a superb drive that will put a smile on anyone's face. Lack of storage forces sale.
