Original, 1968 photo-etching with aquatint and etching by renowned Mid-Century artist, Peter Olley, a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London. This limited edition piece - number 17 of 30 - is hand signed, numbered and titled in pencil. Titled ‘Over the Top - Hill 159’, and produced in 1968, the piece makes reference to the 1953 battle of the Samichon River, and the disastrous losses of Allied lives. This reference to the Korean War is typical of the influence the Cold War had on Olley’s works. Professionally mounted and framed, this piece measures 96.5cm by 75cm.
