A 19th century Chinese lozenge-shaped porcelain pedestal dish. The interior delicately decorated in varying coloured enamels with a mountainous background landscape with a flock of nine birds, painted red sun and stylised clouds. The foreground with two figures climbing steps and approaching a fenced gateway to a sanctuary of buildings in the centre ground. The exterior of the bowl decorated with pink, blue and turquoise opposing phoenixes, and the slightly spreading foot decorated with floral sprigs above a Ming-style lappet border. (LWH 28.5 x 23 x 8.25 cm).
* Condition: Tiny pinhead sized chip to edge of the base. Otherwise in good condition, with no other chips, cracks or restoration. A little gilt wear to rim.
