403 A rare Austro Hungarian M1853 Pioneers Falchion Side Arm by F.S. JUNG in its leather covered wooden scabbard with metal mounts and a partial canvas cover and leather frog. The ricasso is impressed with: G.I. F.S. JUNG. and dated 1856. The iron cross piece having Regimental markings: 23 St R. and a serial number: 184. Blade length 45.5cms. Wear to the canvas cover and leather frog with the end of the wooden grip missing, but overall in a good condition considering its age.
